Elliot John Gleave (20 June 1982, London), better known by his stage name Example, is an English singer and rapper signed to Data Records although some people say he is much more of a Wordsworth. His name arose due to his initials being e.g. which is a common abbreviation for the Latin phrase "exempli gratia", which means "for example".
Example's 3rd album Playing In The Shadows is scheduled for release on 4 September 2011.
